I love cafes. There’s just something about the quiet ones, that are slightly dark and warm, which makes me want to stay there all day. I thought my sims might like a place like that as well. So here is a cafe owned by a sim who travels out far and often. He’s hardly ever home so he basically lives out of his suitcases… but when he is home, he opens up the cafe and welcomes company that enjoys hearing of places far, far away. He lives in a tiny apartment above the cafe.

He lives right on the outskirts of town, near a broken-down factory and an almost-non-functional bus station.

Upstairs

His super-tiny kitchen which he mostly just uses to heat his pizza.

I’m afraid he doesn’t have much of a concept about neatness…

And on cold nights, he stargazes from his room and does his calculations, sipping cup after cup of coffee, to stay awake…

And on clear, cloudless nights he stays up on the roof, star-gazing and listening to music until the sun rises up and his work is done.

I love the excitement that comes when you start a completely new neighborhood. I have so many plans for Portland even though I’ve edited it and messed it up a little. You’ll be getting updates pretty soon. I already have an ice-cream shop & bakery done, and an astronomer sim and his house. Hopefully, if everything goes to plan, you’ll be getting regular updates as I populate my neighborhood. (:

I woke up in a state of distress today. I’ve always suspected I’m rather stupid but today I just proved it. I spoiled my portfolio sketchbook by spilling water on it and letting it soak – all while I was asleep. Now I have to replace the cover and probably re-draw all of my sketches. Urgh. </endrant>

Anyway. The update. I found a lot of lovely wallpapers and decided my Sims needed them, so here they are! A set of 7 wallpapers, all of them priced at $1 and found under the ‘wallpapers’ tab. Oh, and ignore the fact that they are named differently in the game, please, I started listening to this while doing the preview. Also please ignore the fact that I suck at previews.

I recently purged my download’s folder so I could actually play my game. And then I started to miss all the wallpapers I had, so I made some! This set contains 4 walls, all of them priced at $1 and found under the “wallpapers” tab. I hope you like them! Oh, and I guess this also means I am back to creating! =^.^=
